The Hertfordshire Archery Society, or HAS, was founded by six clubs based in Hertfordshire with the intention of being inclusive to those clubs which had become "hybrid" following changes made by Archery GB (AGB) which came into effect on 1st October 2024.
After region informed the AGB county level organisation that non-AGB archers were not permitted to take part in postal leagues, the decision was made to set up the HAS. The HAS is intended to complement the existing county structure and be inclusive of those independent and non-AGB archers that are excluded under AGB.
The HAS welcomes constituted clubs and their members regardless of National Governing Body (NGB) affiliation. Ultimately, the focus is on enjoying and promoting archery, regardless of your discipline: be it field, flight, clout, target, or horseback.
We run leagues, both winter and summer, coaching workshops and masterclasses, as well as social archery meets and the odd tournament.
