Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to some of the questions we get asked the most

How much is membership?

Membership is currently set at £4 per member, regardless of disability or being under 18.

How do I join?

Membership enquiries should be sent to the Secretary and are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Membership is open to both clubs and individuals.

I'm a member of AGB, can I join?

Being a member of a governing body does not exclude you from being an HAS member - whether you're a member of AGB, EFAS, NFAS or another body, membership is open to all.

What about insurance?

For HAS events, the HAS has event insurance to allow all participants to enjoy the event without any worries.  This does not cover archers for their day-to-day shooting at their club.

Can I shoot at HAS events if I'm not a member?

Yes!  We invite visitors to our events.  Entry to HAS events as a visitor includes events insurance cover.

Can I take part in HAS leagues if I'm not a member?

In short, yes!  Get in touch to find out more.

Can anybody join and become a member?

Only members of properly constituted clubs may apply for membership. We would prefer clubs to join as a whole in the first instance.
